Furnace service and furnace maintenance are not the same thing. Furnace service is usually needed when your system has an active problem, such as no heat, unusual noises, weak airflow, or repeated shutdowns. Furnace maintenance is scheduled work that checks the system, cleans key components, and looks for signs of wear before a major repair is needed.
