In the recent years discussing all of the different options of residential heating with my customers, one of the most common questions is, " what's more efficient, Gas or electric heat?"

Well, one would think, in our beautiful province of Manitoba, that it would be Electric over gas.  Ironically, in our hydro enriched land, it is actually the opposite!  The following link to Manitoba Hydro's website shows a graph wherein a 92% Gas high efficient furnace is compared to a 100% efficient electric furnace. It clearly shows a good chunk of savings in even an average size home.  Now just imagine the savings if you were to install a Lennox!!   98.2% Efficient!

Normally, I would be all about a greener choice, but at 98.2% efficient, i'd forgive you for saving all this cash every year so you can buy that Hybrid for your driveway!

By the way....We also install electric furnaces!
